Your engineers install MCP servers across their machines — Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code, Windsurf — each connecting to GitHub, databases, internal APIs, and third-party services. Golf Scanner gives you a point-in-time snapshot of one machine. Golf Inventory gives you continuous visibility across every machine in your organization. Golf Inventory is the fleet-wide MCP server discovery and governance product inside Golf Control Plane.Documentation Index

What Is Golf Inventory
Golf Inventory extends the OSS Scanner into a managed platform product. It discovers every MCP server across your fleet, deduplicates them, runs 35+ security checks, and gives your security team a centralized dashboard with risk scores, governance classification, and remediation workflows. The core loop:- Admin creates an enrollment key in the Golf UI
- IT deploys the Golf Inventory agent to employee machines via MDM
- Agent scans all IDE configurations every 15 minutes
- Reports are submitted to the platform API (privacy-first: config contents never leave the machine)
- Platform deduplicates servers using identity computation
- Platform runs 35+ automated security checks
- Results appear in the Inventory dashboard with risk scores and governance classification
- Admins triage findings via the Remediation Queue
